Skilled data analysts are increasingly in demand in every industry, from finance and healthcare to marketing and e-commerce. Our Data Analytics Bootcamp will position you at the forefront of this dynamic and ever-growing field.
You will become proficient in the skills, tools and techniques to organise raw data and transform it into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work on hands-on projects designed to simulate real-life work environments, under the careful eyes of expert instructors.
Designed expressly for the modern job market and with a curriculum that is constantly updated and reviewed, the Data Analytics Bootcamp will equip you with the precise skills to kick off a career in the data industry – and therefore, in every industry.
You will encounter ideas and concepts that may seem foreign or new to you, and will be challenged to step beyond what feels comfortable. Welcome this as an opportunity for growth.
The journey to understanding data involves collecting, processing, and analysing it. Learning this doesn’t require any special skills or background, but like all work that is fundamentally about processing numbers, it does require patience and a cool mind.
Our bootcamp welcomes students from everywhere in the world and is conducted in English. You should know this language well enough to participate in classes and interact with peers without hindering the group’s progress.
You’ll access our educational content and connect with instructors and fellow learners through our online platform. A computer or laptop with internet access, as well as a set of speakers/headphones and a microphone, are necessary to partake in our program.
Data analytics will demand diligence and effort of you, but not any ‘special’ mathematical talent. Even if you didn’t stand out in mathematics class back in school, that’s perfectly ok.
No prior experience with computer science or coding is necessary. Our program is designed for beginners and will cover foundational aspects in the initial weeks.
Our learning environment emphasises collaboration over competition. It’s important to foster a supportive and cooperative mindset, focusing on your own personal development as the measure of success.
While you need your own computer, it doesn’t have to be equipped with the latest graphics card or a NASA processor. The tools used in this bootcamp will work on any reasonably modern computer.
You will start from the fundamentals of data analytics, then work your way to advanced proficiency with industry-standard tools like Python, SQL and Tableau. By the end of the bootcamp, you will become adept at analysing large datasets, uncovering patterns, trends, and anomalies that can inform strategic business decisions.
Throughout the bootcamp, you will work with real-world datasets and learn how to approach them with a variety of data visualisation and statistical techniques. Starting from simple challenges, you will gradually be empowered to tackle highly complex data problems, both independently and working as part of a team.
At the beginning of your bootcamp, you will have access to our Primer, a self-learning course which will acquaint you with the basics of the subject. Think of this as a ‘mini course,’ with exercises and dedicated support from a junior instructor, to familiarise you with the basic concepts that are important for your upcoming courses.
Master data visualisation and presentations using SQL and Tableau, while learning Python for comprehensive data handling. Leverage libraries such as Pandas to read, clean, and explore real business data. This module not only equips you with data skills, it also lets you apply them in a business context, enabling you to find actionable insights and formulate business strategies in a professional setting.
EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) is a discipline you should master alongside data visualisation and presentations – and the Python library Seaborn will equip you with the skills for it. Learn how to take a jumbled mess of data and extract the value hidden within it!
Working with real statistics becomes easier once you equip yourself with Python’s Scipy and Beautiful Soup libraries, enabling you to engage with essential algorithms and data extraction. Integrating Google Sheets, querying large datasets with Big Query, and visualising data insights in Looker Studio are pivotal in translating data into actionable intelligence, but you will not stop there: this module is where you start learning about APIs and database management, taking your data manipulation skills online.
Generalising from data and testing hypotheses are two pillars of statistics. Learn how these old-school techniques are applied in modern data science with case studies.
This project equips you with web scraping and API skills to collect, explore, and transform real-world data, empowering you to build your own custom dataset and unlock valuable insights.
Master data-driven decision-making, leveraging BigQuery for advanced analytics, visualising insights in Looker Studio, and managing data in Google Sheets.
Mastering Python’s Scikit Learn library will allow you to unearth hidden patterns with unsupervised machine learning. You will also return to SQL, and explore some truly advanced problems, designed to prepare you for the technical interviews you will undergo after the bootcamp. Get ready to ace your data analytics journey!
FINAL PROJECT
It’s time to put everything you have learned to use. Build a full-scale project from the ground up with teammates in conditions similar to those you will encounter in the tech industry. Design something for use in the real world and showcase it in your portfolio when you start applying for jobs.
